------------------------------------------------------------------------------ 6 November 2009 With great pleasure I’d like to announce that two of our young members of the Yudansha team in Leon Guanajuato México have made it through the first stage of the selection process to become part of the National Olympics competition team. The students are part of a team lead by Yudansha assistant instructor, Ricardo L. Centeno. Ricardo is part of the Yudansha team lead by Carlos and Fernando Espinoza. Ricardo has been teaching at the C.E.D.A.J. center which translates to “Sport State Commission for the Awareness of the Youth.” This is an association for underprivileged kids. I had the opportunity to visit the center and give a Judo seminar there last year. The name of the participants are, Joshua, 15 years old (wearing the blue Gi) and Baruc, 14 years old (wearing the red Gi). Joshua and Baruc have earned the right to compete in the next tournament taking place in Tepic Nayarit, Mexico, April 2010. Congratulations to both of our young students, and thanks for the time and effort put in by their assistant coach. Job well done!
